New Cumberland Federal Credit Union (NCFCU) is a full-service, not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution. Unlike profit-driven banks that benefit only a small number of stockholders, we return excess earnings to all of our members in the form of better service, lower interest rates for loans, higher yields on savings and investment accounts, and by adding new financial products and services.

The Credit Union’s unpaid, volunteer Board of Directors is elected by and from the membership and acts in the benefit and best interest of the Credit Union and its member-owners.  Volunteer board members review financial statements and set organizational direction and policies.

What makes a credit union different from a
bank or savings & loan?

Like credit unions, these financial institutions accept deposits and make loans- but unlike credit unions, they are in business to make a profit. Banks and savings & loans are owned by groups of stockholders whose interests include earning a healthy return on their investments vs. credit unions who are owned and controlled by the members who use it’s services.

NCFCU has supported the Lady Saints basketball program with contributions for team t-shirts and web site sponsorship for the last six years.  We're proud of our association with this organization and thankful for their support.
