Coaching Staff

At St. Theresa, I'm blessed to be assisted by the finest group of coaches anyone could ask for.  They are all volunteers, who sacrifice hundreds of hours a year for our players out of love of the game and the desire to pass on skills and life lessons to our young ladies.  They focus not only on their basketball IQ but on their hearts and their minds, challenging them to be better than they are.  These coaches model the proper pursuit of excellence, with the right perspective on the whole player.  I'm thankful for their dedication and proud to serve on the same staff with them.

Tammi Jones: – For 21 years now, Tammi and I have been together on the bench, first at Cedar Cliff and now at St. T's.  When it comes to strategy and substitutions, Tammi knows what I want before I do and we complement each other's style.  Her work with our guards has played a role in developing some outstanding players and two Division I point guards.

Dwayne Jones: Direct from Memphis, TN, our favorite Volunteer affectionately know as “Chairman of the Boards” because of his work with our post players.  Dwayne is also our chief motivator and has been known to rock the house with his JBLs for select home games.  Dwayne enters his 11th season with the Lady Saints and brings an enthusiasm that is contagious.

Amy Topper: A graduate of St. Theresa and TrinityHigh School, she’s also a former basketball player for the Lady Saints and a senior captain for the Lady Rocks.  Amy's behind the scenes words of encouragement are always welcomed by the girls.  Her been there, done that, and now leading by example approach to coaching connects with the players and provides a positive role model for them.

Jim Gaumer: Our most recent addition to the staff, Jim is a familiar fixture in the gym with Coach Cicak.  Jim was part of the coaching staff at Cedar Cliff and was onboard for four consecutive winning seasons and District 3 appearances. Jim also has been involved in the past with CYO basketball at St. Theresa and has been a part of the legacy that is Lady Saints basketball.

Mark Cicak:  Another graduate of St. Theresa’s who wore the Saints uniform before playing football and basketball at Cedar Cliff, Mark now is the head coach for JVs at Trinity High School.  Mark helps us with special projects and as his schedule allows.

Whether it was high school, AAU, or CYO, these coaches have been there with me and are the major factor in our success.  By blood or by love, we have bonded as a coaching family and I wouldn't have it any other way.
